From Fortaleza, through Jericoacoara, Barra Grande and Atins, all the way to São Luís, you will experience the indescribable landscapes of northeastern Brazil, which will change your view of the world!
Located in close proximity to the equator, this is a land of eternal summer , where the sun will accompany us every day, and the wind will make our stay as pleasant as possible. In a literal sense, everything we will experience, feel and see on this trip is simply Paradise on Earth. This will be a trip you could not even dream of, because it is simply unimaginable... Get ready to discover the adventurous, romantic, sandy side of Brazil, which will take your breath away with its beauty... The departure to another planet is just getting started!

DETAILED ITINERARY
After breakfast, we leave the hotel and embark on a real adventure! From this moment on, forget about the asphalt, because we settle into comfortable jeeps and set off on a sand road!
For the next few hours we are on an unusual ride, moving along the ocean coast. We pass through numerous beaches, and then we take a break for a swim at the beautiful Lagoinha beach. Continuing along the coast, we soon stop for lunch at Flexeiras beach. We ride along the asphalt for a short part of the way, and then we return to an atmosphere filled with palm trees and surfers in the wind.
All this will make the travel experience incredible, and time will fly by in simple enjoyment!
In the early evening hours we arrive at the location of a natural wonder - Jericoacoara. The most beautiful thing about this settlement is that it is isolated from the modern world, the hustle and bustle and traffic jams. The number of vehicles in Jericoacoara is limited and strictly controlled, and the vast majority of drivers do not even dare to approach this area over the sand dunes.
All this makes the entire stay as pleasant and relaxing as possible. Of course, there is no shortage of smiles, people and energy here, and after we leave our things in the accommodation, just a few meters away from the beach, we can explore the nightlife of this village and have dinner to the sounds of forro music.

Day 2 | Offroad drive to Jericoacoara
Arrival in Fortaleza in the afternoon, where I eagerly await you. With an organized transfer, we arrive at the hotel right on the ocean shore, and then we rest from the trip with dinner, a walk on the beach, or a swim in the sea, which is surprisingly warm at any time of the day or night.
Fortaleza is the capital of the federal state of Ceará, with around 2.5 million inhabitants, where you will have the impression of visiting a new world from the very first day. Rows of palm trees, rows of street artisans and a multitude of unusual fruits, which you will notice in
shops, are just some of the obvious symbols of Brazil.
After enjoying, taking a break and getting to know each other, return to the hotel and spend the night.

Day 1 | Arrival in Fortaleza
Morning meal and our first completely free day!
This will be a great opportunity to spend your time enjoying the romantic beach in the immediate vicinity of our accommodation, which is lined with several bars serving fresh coconut water, natural juices, and fruit cocktails.
Don't forget that this is where the real magic happens! Several times a day the sea level rises and falls so much that the 50-meter-wide beach, at one point, reaches a width of as much as 200 meters! The sight is truly indescribable, and the storm of emotions it leaves behind can only be understood by those who see it with their own eyes.
For shell lovers, the retreat offers a multitude of choices right on the sand, and the sunset here is considered one of the most beautiful you will ever experience!
Full of impressions, once again on this trip we spend the night in Jericoacoara.

Day 4 | Jericoacoara - free day
Waking up to the sounds of nature and breakfast, after which we will have a few free hours to walk, browse for souvenirs, or swim (the time for the start of the trip will depend on our internal agreement).
Jericoacoara is a place known for its incredible water oscillations during the high and low tide periods, and every day the ocean puts on a spectacle. The water temperature is perfect, and the entire settlement exudes an incredible life energy. Forget about your shoes, because everything around us will still be sand, on which walking barefoot will be a true pleasure for our senses and a connection with nature.
After a morning of enjoyment, we set off on a new adventure through the endless sand! By jeep, we continue to explore the most attractive locations of this area. At one point, like a mirage, we will see a heavenly scene! In the middle of "nowhere", we arrive at a natural oasis!
It is a lagoon among the dunes, filled with water, near which we will have lunch in a nomadic restaurant. It gets its name because it periodically moves from one location to another, depending on the movement of the sand due to the wind. Absolutely incredible!
The entire environment is truly unreal – from the turquoise water for swimming, to the canvas swings in it, to the seafood specialties on the menu! Without a doubt, we will truly relax here and spend the entire afternoon in the most wonderful mood.
On the way back, we will stop by Barrinha Beach to watch the sunset over the dunes.
A short drive back to the center of Jericoacoara in the early evening.

Day 3 | Jericoacoara - Oasis excursion
Waking up and enjoying a rich breakfast, after which we head out on a trip along the Parnaiba River! An hour and a half drive from our accommodation, our starting point will be the boat dock, as we have a full-day boat ride ahead of us!
Get ready for a true wildlife experience, as this is a river with many estuaries into the Atlantic Ocean, where the mixing of fresh and salt water creates perfect conditions for the reproduction of numerous animal species. Just some of the animals we will have the opportunity to encounter are crocodiles, monkeys, snakes and a multitude of large crabs.
In the afternoon, we take a lunch break at a local restaurant on the riverbank. And just when we think we have already filled the day with incredible sights, another natural wonder awaits us. Just before sunset, we will watch flocks of red birds flying from all directions to the islets in front of us. Like a Christmas tree, we will witness the green trees being decorated with these red decorations. Once again, nature will show us how powerful and indescribably beautiful it is.
Another hour of sailing back under the moonlight, with the sound of the river, will make us think about life in a completely new way...
Drive back to your accommodation and arrive in the evening. Free time for dinner or a walk through Barra Grande.

Day 6 | Barra Grande - Parnaiba River
After breakfast, we pack our things into our adventure car and continue in style to our next location – Barra Grande!
We walk a short distance through the sand, once again absorbing the breeze and the smell of the ocean. Surrounded by wild donkeys and smiling locals in their modest homes, we try to understand that all this was not a dream, not even suspecting what surprises await us!
We climb from the sand to the asphalt and after an hour and a half and entering the federal state of Bahia, we take a break for an early lunch in a restaurant with the best meat specialty, the so-called "carne de sol" (meat from the sun). At first glance, a modest facility will prove to you that in Brazil the beauty of nature, top-notch food and cordiality are always present. Mango and cotton trees, a natural swimming pool and the endless rocks and forests around will make this respite unexpected.
With full bellies, just another hour of driving on asphalt and we arrive at our new destination. We will be welcomed to Barra Grande by the sand, which we will have become quite accustomed to by now.
Entering the accommodation, we begin to understand that man and nature are inseparable, because everything exudes such an atmosphere... The entire complex is located right on the beach, under the open sky and consists of numerous facilities, such as bungalows, restaurants, bars, a swimming pool, a vegetable and spice garden, a playground, souvenir shops, a windsurfing center...
In complete euphoria, we spend the night in this fairy tale.

Day 5 | Offroad drive to Barra Grande
After breakfast, we pack our bags into the car, ready for our next destination – Atins.
Although this location is not our main motivation, but rather the excursion that awaits us the next day, which is nearby, our stay here will still be perfect for understanding the way of life of the local population.
After 4 hours of driving on asphalt, and then a few more minutes of boat ride on the Preguiças River, we arrive at the accommodation, which is located on, guess what, sand!
Oh yes, if you thought we had experienced sandy conditions so far, you will be convinced otherwise here. Although this destination has been built up with numerous accommodation facilities for the benefit of tourists in the last decade, every few meters you can see local houses and the population, which functions daily among the dunes. The sandy paths are rough and quite difficult to pass, but they still greet every passerby with a smile.
An unusual center, just a few shops and a beach, which opens onto fresh and salt water, or a mixture of river and sea, will together frame the impression.

Day 8 | Drive to Atins
Breakfast at the accommodation and another free day!
Take the time to fully absorb this charming place. Although it is made up of only a few sandy streets, Barra Grande is a favorite location for many to stay. The energy that reigns there is liberating and unusual.
And while you can spend hours under the sun enjoying the beach, refreshing yourself with açaí and cold drinks, having lunch with fresh fish and splashing around in the pool, your evening can be filled with a walk outside the accommodation, to the local square, where the locals often gather with music and various specialties. The choice will be yours, but one thing is for sure: you will spend a day to remember...

Day 7 | Barra Grande - free day
After breakfast, we pack up and head to our final destination on this journey. The city of São Luís, located in the state of Maranhão, will provide the right balance for our adventure, both visually and energetically.
We have about an hour of boat travel ahead of us, and then another four hours on asphalt.
It is about 250 kilometers away from our previous location, and the impression is as if we have stepped into another dimension. Tall buildings, modern suburbs and a shopping mall near the hotel are the first things you will notice. Something like a return to reality...

Day 10 | Drive to São Luis
Breakfast at the accommodation, followed by the highlight of our entire trip – Lençóis Maranhenses.
Listed among the most beautiful locations in the world, this is a breathtaking trip!
Just 15 kilometers from Atins, we enter this National Park, with the impression of arriving on another planet! And as we climb and descend the dunes in an open vehicle, we won't blink at the multitude of natural pools around us!
The view gets more beautiful every few meters! The best part is that we won't just be observing all this, but we will truly be a part of nature, swimming in the unreally fluorescent and clear water.
In the afternoon, we will take a lunch break at one of the restaurants, which are located right on the edge of the water lagoons.
After food and swimming, we will watch the sun set, thanking it for another incredible day...
Returning to Atins in the early evening and after all the impressions have subsided,

Day 9 | Lençóis Maranhense National Park
Breakfast at the hotel, after which we will say goodbye to Brazil with a big hug, but only for a short while...
Transfer to the airport with the promise that this will be just the beginning of the unreal experiences that my magical country offers...

Day 12 | Departure from São Luis
Our last, full-day stay together in Brazil is intended for complete relaxation and to let our impressions sink in. After a buffet breakfast, we will have the entire day at our disposal for activities of our choice.
Some people will enjoy simply enjoying the hotel's amenities, while others will be more comfortable exploring another beach, shopping for souvenirs, or sightseeing in the city center.
São Luís is the only Brazilian city built by the French, and through its many historic streets you can feel a special atmosphere, more like European cities. At the same time, it is also the Federal University Center, but also the center of the Institute of History and Geography. As an important point for the Brazilian nation, São Luís will be another opportunity to get to know the many contrasts that this country has.
With music and a few caipirinhas, we will wait for the sunset,
making us realize that Brazil is anything but an ordinary country...
Our last night on this magical trip.
